A2A activities in the three areas of the sustainability – economic, environmental and social – are summarized in the Sustainability Report of the Group.
The document, since 2008, provides qualitative and quantitative information in the greatest detail possible on the activities carried out by the Group during the year and their effect on its stakeholders (shareholders, customers, suppliers, employees, collaborators, the public administration, etc.) and the efforts made to manage these issues with a view to sustainable development.
The Sustainability Report has been prepared in accordance with the standards of the GRI (Global Reporting Initiative) “Sustainability Reporting Guidelines (version 3.1)”, together with the Electric Utilities Sector Supplement - Sustainability Reporting Guidelines & Electric Utility (RG Version 3.1/EUSS Final Version). The 2013 edition of the A2A sustainability report scored the top application level (A+).
For the first time was published the “materiality matrix”, where are represented the most relevant issues for A2A and its stakeholders. In A2A materiality matrix there are 37 issues, among which the priorities are: quality of provided services and attention to customer, employment and air quality.
