We are strongly convinced that nothing can be done without the involvement and participation of all persons that constitute a company.
For this reason in 2008 some “listening activities” were realised, aimed at Middle Management of all the Group and samples of young professionals within specific company functions.
Voice Project, say your thoughts out loud
An investigation with the aim of measuring the level of involvement and satisfaction with the objective of identifying those factors that have a positive or negative impact on motivation. The investigation carried out through a web system, aimed at Middle Management had a participation quota of 85%. The results of the investigation were presented to top management and to those directly interested through appropriate meetings following which there was discussion and time for reflection.
The results:
The rate of motivation of Middle Management of A2A is equal to 52%; the average for the Italian market is 46%. 28% of employees, although nt entirely satisfied, is decidedly positive and this shows that there are presuppositions for increasing the overall motivation rate.
We can always do better!
From the investigation there emerged a positive vision of the merger, seen as an opportunity for a greater business, denoting a positive fermentation with regard to the process of integration.
To a large extent, the Middle Management feel that they are a valid resource for the Company, and that their point of view is taken into consideration.
Furthermore the people are satisfied in terms of the professional contents of their work, relations within the Company, characterised by respect for different points of view and ideas and by the propensity to co-operate to achieve results.
Areas of improvement emerged in connection with training and development, intending by this the Company’s internal growth, demands that we have met with the creation of an Integrated System of Human Resources, containing an articulated training plan able to accompany the professional growth and a system of evaluation and management of performance aimed at a continuous improvement of each one of us.
We are attentive to the well-being of the persons
Alongside this more institutional method, we are involving sample groups of young employees in focus groups that have as an objective of reflection the ways of working of the persons, to be understood as a level of satisfaction, motivation and involvement within the company context and activities carried out by them.
