Water services
The integrated water cycle is understood to mean the handling of three services; aqueduct, sewage and purification.
The management of the aqueduct involves the taking and the distribution of drinking water, including operations of purification and drinkability when necessary. Drinking water distributed derives from sources and wells.
The aqueducts are managed in Brescia and Province bA2A S.p.A. and by the company ASVT, while in the Province of Bergamo the service is carried out by BAS SII.
Sales in Brescia and Bergamo are handled by Asmea and BAS SII respectively, in Varese and in some municipalities in the province by Aspem.
The service of sewage consists of collection of sewage water at the purification plants. In the purifier the water is treated to eliminate polluting substances so as to restore the quality compatible with the safeguarding of the environment to which it is returned.
For the treatment of effluent water, two main purification plants have been created, at Verziano (Brescia) and at Bergamo, connected to the sewage networks of the two cities and equipped with a treatment capacity equal to 250 thousand and 220 thousand inhabitants respectively.
A2A manages furthermore the purification plants in numerous municipalities of the two provinces and the sewage service of Brescia, Bergamo and in some municipalities of the two provinces.
The service is handled directly by the parent company.
For information, communications and complaints contact the commercial companies of the A2A Group.
