The Director-General of the Technical Operations of A2A, Paolo Rossetti, will head for the next three years, IGC, the Italian Gas Committee, the Board appointed to UNI Federated body for technical standards for gas.

The district heating plant of Canavese awarded with the "Certificate of Merit" in the category "New district heating systems" at the 2011 International District Heating Climate Energy Awards, organized by the International Energy Agency (IEA) and Euro Heat & Power (European Association of operators of district heating).

On behalf of A2A Calore & Services, Lorenzo Spadoni received the certificate in Paris during the proceedings of the 35 th International Congress of Euro Heat & Power.

Brescia - In the presence of the Mayor Adriano Paroli and the Chairman of the Management Board of A2A, Giuliano Zuccoli, the first vehicles of the Renault ZE project were delivered. The project for the experimentation of zero emission electric vehicles in the city of Lombardy has got under way.

The vehicles will be used to provide connecting services between different offices and the movement of documents between different sectors of municipal administration, experimenting in the daily activities, the benefits and fruition of a 100% electric mobility.

The press conference in Palazzo Loggia and which was attended by the Deputy Mayor, Fabio Rolfi, the Director General of the Technical Area of A2A, Paolo Rossetti, vice president of the Management Board of A2A, Victor Cinquini and the Director of Communications and Public Affairs at Renault Italy, Andrea Baracco, was of great interest to the press.

It is an important start-up for our city - Adriano Paroli said - that highlights the attention of this Administration of most of the town of Brescia, considerably reducing the costs for fuel and improved indices of air pollution.
 

A2A was ranked as being among the Italian companies "Carbon Performance Leaders 2010" according to the Carbon Disclosure Project, the body that represents more than 500 institutional investors and for over 10 years has provided an analysis of how the world's largest companies have been dealing with greenhouse effect gas emissions. The CDP Italy Report was presented on February 9th in Milan, in the prestigious Palazzo Mezzanotte Italian Stock Exchange in the presence of Corrado Clini, Director General of the Ministry for the Environment, who introduced the proceedings by highlighting the efforts made in recent decades by Italian companies to "decarbonise" the economy, tracing the evolution of the scenarios of the national and international regulators.

 

 The CDP 2010 - Italy 60 Report shows that also in Italy, carbon management is definitely impinging on the agenda of boards of directors, representing an important indicator that investors are looking at with ever-growing attention. Of the 60 largest companies in the Italian financial market surveyed, for the first time, the 21 who responded provided information not only about their strategies for future low-carbon, but also on governance adopted, communication to stakeholders and the results. “It is interesting to underline the fact that 81% of the respondents, who disclosed their emissions, have validated these data through an independent external controller. A clear sign that Italian companies are paying more attention to the need to reduce their emissions results from the fact that 76% of the companies that joined the study, have a target to reduce emissions and 10% 'in the development process of such a target. This trend is 'in line with the CDP's mission: to accelerate the solutions to climate change, "said Diana Guzman, Director of CDP Southern Europe.
