A2A Group

A2A is the energy multiutility which was born on January 1st, 2008 from the merger between Aem Milano and Asm Brescia and with the incorporation of Amsa. The Group perimeter also includes Ecodeco, another relevant player in the waste sector.

A2A is the second national electricity operator as for installed capacity and sales volumes, in particular as regards renewable energy thanks to a considerable share, about 26%, deriving from hydroelectric generation, the third national operator as regards the gas sector with sales of 5.5 billion cubic metres and the national leader in the environmental sector thanks to 2.7 million tons of waste treated, of which 1.3 million are used to produce electricity.

The Group is also the first in Italy in the district heating sector .

A2A is the first among the former Italian municipal companies with a turnover of about 6 billion euros and over 2 million customers.

Standard and Poor’s removes the credit watch and confirms the long term rating with a negative outlook

The confirmation of rating is a reward for the programme to reduce the company’s debt and reflects a profile of business that is strong and stable, supported by a positive diversification of activities and a significant presence in the regular activities.

Project INTEGRIS (INTElligent GRID Sensor communication)

The INTEGRIS Project is one of the main projects sponsored by the European Union. A2A represents Italy in the consortium composed of the Spanish Endesa and other partners (research institutions and technological partners).
