Environmental Responsibility

Proper use of natural resources, reduction in emissions, waste production and noise, respect for biodiversity and landscape are just some of the basic aspects of the sustainability agenda pursued by A2A. A programme extended to all the main issues of environmental responsibility and which through policies and QES (quality, environment and safety) is an integral part of the group strategies.

The management of environmental aspects in A2A is an important priority in the daily conduct and systems in the Group companies.

The reference model is that laid down by ISO 14001 and EMAS Regulation, which provides for the preparation of environmental analysis, verification of compliance with legislative requirements, preparing and procedures for control and monitoring, preparation of programmes for improvement, audit and review. With the coordination of A2A, these activities are managed within specific committees specially set up at the various operating units
