Remit – inside information

Accordingly to Article 4 of Regulation (EU) No 1227/2011 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 25 October 2011 on wholesale energy market integrity and transparency (REMIT), the companies are required to make public, in a timely manner, all the information related to the capacity and use of facilities for production, storage, consumption or transmission of electricity and natural gas or related to the capacity and use of LNG facilities, including planned or unplanned unavailability of these facilities.

In accordance with Article 2 of the Regulament, a “inside information” is to be considered a precise, not public information, which concerns, directly or indirectly, one or more wholesale energy market products and which, if it were made public, would be likely to significantly affect the prices of those wholesale energy products.

A2A provides information about planned or unplanned unavailability of Power Generation Units with a maximum net power of 100 MW or more, falling within A2A S.p.A., A2A Energiefuture S.p.A. and A2A Gencogas S.p.A., through the uploading of GME inside information platform (IIP) in the short time possible.

A2A has been complying with the obligation to make public this information through IPP platform since July 20th 2016. All the information regarding the previous period will remain available in our “archive” for operators’ consultation.
